On the latest episode of his Kliq This podcast, WWE Hall of Famer Kevin Nash offered high praise for fellow Hall of Famer Kurt Angle, calling him the greatest worker in the history of professional wrestling.
Nash and Angle spent several years working together in TNA Wrestling, where they were both part of the Main Event Mafia faction alongside Booker T, Scott Steiner, and Sting. Reflecting on their time in TNA, Nash said Angle’s performances there deserve far more recognition than they’ve received.
“I think Kurt is the greatest worker that has ever been in this business,” Nash said. “People, I guess, weren’t privy to his run at TNA. I guess because it’s not out there on the network, but that TNA era of the AJs, the Alex Shelleys, the Sabins, Homicide—there was so much talent in the locker room and so much talent in that six-sided ring. I don’t think that era of wrestling in TNA gets their flowers.”
Angle’s TNA run, which spanned over a decade, featured standout matches against talents like AJ Styles, Samoa Joe, and Jeff Jarrett, and was widely praised for its athleticism, storytelling, and intensity—though much of it remains underrepresented in mainstream WWE retrospectives.
Nash’s comments shine a light on both Angle’s versatility and in-ring brilliance, as well as the underrated legacy of TNA’s golden era.
